Description:

ABOUT THE HER HELMET THURSDAYS PROJECT:
Businesses and organizations participating in HER Helmet Thursdays help HER / Mother Earth by providing discounts on Thursdays for people who bike. A long-term project with no scheduled end-date, HER Helmet Thursdays was launched in 2009 in Monterey County, California as a public service. NOTE: When participating businesses and organizations sign up, they are provided a staff reference sheet. Many have frequent staff changes. Just in case a staff person on duty isn't familiar with this long-term project, it may be helpful to have the listing for that location pulled up on your mobile phone screen (or print a copy of their listing to take along), so you're prepared to kindly show their listing.
Before claiming discount, refer to FAQs and project details, including date restrictions, in "LISTINGS, Map, How to Get the Discounts, and FAQs about HER Helmet Thursdays" at http://www.bikemonterey.org.

ABOUT THIS PARTICIPANT:
Visit our website for ticket purchase information, along with frequently asked questions and lots of other information.

Advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended, especially during summer and on weekends.

Monterey Bay's leading provider of narrated ocean and bay tours, specializing in natural history and biology of marine wildlife, especially whales!

Our whale watching trips run year-round and are fully narrated by marine biologists/naturalists, all with 10 or more years experience on the Monterey Bay.

Our vessels, the 100 Princess Monterey and the 75 Pacific Explorer, are the two largest and most comfortable boats in the bay and operated by licensed, experienced captains.

Bike Tips:

Located just off the bike/multi-use path, a Class I section of the Monterey Bay Coastal Trail!

Located at the end of Old Fisherman's Wharf/Wharf I. Lock up your bike on the bicycle racks at top left of wharf. If racks are full, you may lock up along the metal railing at top right of wharf.

Take the short walk along Wharf No. 1 until you nearly reach the end--and Princess Monterey Whale Watching, on your right. Look for sign atop bright yellow building (see photo on Princess Monterey website).
